You are cordially invited to the Week of Haghartsin Monastery!
The event is a week-long fest that aims at showcasing the wanders of Haghartsin monastery (X-XII AD) and its spiritual legacy of one of the most beautiful and historically rich centers of the country laid in the heart of Tavoush region, Armenia. To do so in the most interesting and engaging way we are organizing a 7-day-and-night long celebration that will take place in the premises of the Haghartsin monastery and will embrace a series of cultural, educational and entertaining events including the following: open air master classes on traditional Armenian bread-baking and ancient monastic food; candle and organic soap-making classes, iconography, ceramics and wood making workshops, glass painting and Armenian doll-making seminars – all dedicated to our guests to better understand and feel the life of people and monks as if it were hundreds of years ago.
To enhance your spiritual experiences the daily workshops will be complemented by old Armenian spiritual singing classes in the evenings, liturgies and services held at church. Moreover, during the days of 19.08 to 21.08 you can become part of the Fresco International festival and under the night sky of the Monastery watch open-air screenings of spiritual short movies in the company of outstanding international guests – movie directors and actors from Europe, Middle East and Russia.
